Dental Insurance Plus – Full Coverage Dental Insurance
Full coverage dental insurance wanted for two root canal and crowns.
Question: My mom needs to have two root canal done on her back molars and she will also need to have crowns put on them. She does not have dental insurance, and I am looking to buy her dental insurance that will pay for her to have the dental care she needs at no cost to her. The best I am seeing is 50 percent coverage’s after a waiting period of a year or more. What can I get her that will offer full coverage.
Reply: Most insurance plans do provide free preventive care such as the office visit cleaning x-rays. However, from there is is typically a set cost you pay or a percentage co-payment you have to pay. Seems as if you have been reviewing dental PPO plans as they typically have waiting periods for major dental care (such as root canals and crowns) for a year sometime longer depending on the plan. We offer two dental PPO plans that do not have waiting periods though still some what restrictive in benefits for majors services with in the first year on the plan.
You may want to review one of our dental HMO plan options. They are the more affordable cost dental insurance plan choice as well as they do not have waiting periods for any of their covered benefits. Thous there is still cost to the services you are wanting they are a much lower cost compared to not having insurance and you are able to have services render at the effective date of the plan.
